the declaration of happiness

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. —

The definition of Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness was defined 246 years ago by a group of white men trying to form a sense of government and values that they thought we should abide by when life looked completely different than it does now.

How can anyone conceivably declare how life should be defined?

The most deceiving thing about a human being is their external appearance. It is how we think and feel within our hearts and minds that truly defines us and our happiness. Looks are deceiving but our truth is not.

In the end, the truth always comes out. What matters most is that you can’t be defined by someone else's happiness. You must rewrite your own declaration of happiness. Our founding fathers tried to declare it for all mankind which is quite literally impossible.

Any human with a brain knows that but no one has ever attempted to re-write it.

Because I am not following the path that everyone thinks I should follow (school, college, work, money, family, retirement), I am automatically labeled “weird”, “different”, and “unhappy”. When in fact, it is the complete opposite. When you see more clearly and hear more accurately, you will see me on the utmost blissful journey where I allow my heart to manifest my reality. (Translation* I am following my passion, being called to do things out of my comfort, and reside in the unknown.)

Here is my declaration perfectly defined and how I live my life:

“Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes … the ones who see things differently — they’re not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status quo. … You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things. … They push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the people who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.”

The different light I stand in and what I have been through at such a young age is graciously forcing me to look at life and seek comfort through a different lens. My lens is a different shade than yours. My healing will never look like yours. My plan will never look how you want my plan to look and that is something I am okay with.

The best-laid plans often go awry.

It is going to take me a lifetime to explain to the world the way I see life. The truth is that planning can be very misleading and uncertain. Nothing in life is certain; not even your future or the path you take to get there. Making a detailed plan is a recipe for disaster. If you don't enjoy your life you are going to wake up one day when you are 60-years-old and think about all the mistakes you made in your life. Sometimes the best-laid plan is no plan at all. Life is FULL of uncertainties where the plan is 100% foolproof.

One day the world exploded and each of those particles now resides within us. We are living within a vortex of time where time was created to help and destroy us. Time was created to help us commit to our plan and the plan, to me, is merely existing in my own declaration of happiness.

And sometimes, in time, things just work out as planned.
