How to: Hop to Hucachina & Paracas

Ready to explore a natural oasis in the middle of the desert? Followed with a sweet treat of a few days on the beach? If so, follow this guide!

I took a night bus from Arequipa to Ica and hopped on a tuk-tuk to Huacachina (15 min drive!) I spent a day in Hucachina, took a tuk-tuk back to Ica (do not explore or spend time in Ica) and from Ica I hopped on a bus to Paracas. All are very close in distance and I would recommend going to both Huacachina and Paracas! Huacachina is a natural oasis in the middle of the desert and Paracas is an adorable beach/port town!

Hucachina:

• Place of stay: Wild Rover — If you want to stay in a WR but are scared of crazy partying/music all night, this is the time and place to stay in a WR. Has a pretty pool, restaurant/bar, not super crazy partying, and private curtain beds!
• Recommended time: 1–2 days
