How to: Feel Brillant in Bogota
Chelsey’s Backpacking Edition
Place of stay: Fatima Hostel Bogota — This was an excellent place to stay. Located right in the middle of La Candelaria, with its colorful walls, amazing cuisine, and extremely vibey cafes. I will say the dorms are very small but the private I had was fantastico! The beds are very comfortable and the staff is nice. Bar right in front but didn't seem to have any crazy vibes. Free shot when you check in!
Recommended time of stay: 4–5 days but you can also stay longer and relax!
What to do: I was here for a very short time as I was using it as a 4-day layover for my next flight out to the Galapagos... I did not do much as the weather was rainy…But thank god for the adorable cafes!
- Free Walking Tour: I did a free walking tour that meets outside the Museum of Gold every day at 10am & 2pm. They have red umbrellas just outside the entrance. TO BE HONEST, I left the walking tour early because I did not like the tour. I felt like the sights we were seeing weren't super exciting and it was a lot of talking.
- Museum of Gold: Not a must-see but if it's rainy it's a good spot to go!
