~ Already feels like home ~

When I connect internally, I am aware that trusting and believing in myself is something that takes work for my soul. It is not something that comes naturally or something we are all equipt with the moment we are born. Our anger, stress, trauma, and agenda help us navigate away from peace. It is obvious that our ego is nurtured by temporary fulfillment and that fulfillment is immediate, quick, and as soon as possible, so we can grasp onto something.

We often run because we don't want to stop, stay, and confront what we are feeling.

Pausing will not only give up this power to immediate fulfillment but it also will allow you to change your thoughts/mindset which sets the tone for the rest of your day/life.

Changing your thoughts right when you wake up in the morning will change your mindset. This is something I am calling attention to for myself. Our entire day will follow the mindset we step into in the morning.

I often question: “Why am I in Amsterdam this summer?”, “Why am I doing what I am doing?”, “Why am I not home with the rest of my crew, embedded in the comfort of my gorgeous house and mama’s cooking?”

Well, simply, because that is not where I am at in my life anymore. I love the fact that I will always have a home in Chicago but that motivates me to explore and see the world. I truly can’t believe I…
