Day #1 — Amsterdam

Hoi!

Today was my first day in Amsterdam and I can not even begin to explain how wonderful this city is. With 17th-century architecture, strong dutch wind, and gorgeous canals, it already feels like home in a very real way. I have resistance towards letting loose and a smidge of homesickness but I also acknowledge I am in a new spot (I must not forget about my power to turn foreignism into home.) I honest to god did not think I would be able to pull this off, but here I am; I am here! I made the decision to be here and for that reason, I am going to pursue making decisions for myself because it feels really fucking good.

Being financially independent for the first time in my life feels weird but that's what I decided to do this summer and something I must practice. Spending my own money feels different than spending others’ money. There's more intention behind what you buy and nonetheless, it is a huge step toward growth.

I am going to work on my communication and use my powers to show up for myself. I do not have any other obligations other than being my best self and discovering what is most important to me.

The outside of my building is rainbow which is so crazy to me. I am so on the right track people.

I am going to write every day while I am here. I hope y’all enjoy this journey of mine!

Lesson #1: Nothing is failure. Everything is growth
