Cartagena: Color, love, food, culture, nightlife, community, and HEAT! What a wonderful city guarded by historic walls and historic architecture. I returned to the city for the second time to explore a bit more and spend time with my lovely parents whom I had not seen for 10 months! Not only did Cartagena rejoice us together beautifully but we were able to discover more of the city together. Cartagena is known to be the most touristy city in Colombia welcoming us in with friendly engery!

Suggested amount of time: 2–3 days (excluding exclusive resorts out of the walled city)

Must try: cheese arepas sold on the street, the fresh fruit (especially mango) from the street, coco limonada, coconut rice, empanadas, and any pastries that call your name!!
