Body dysmorphia
Body dysmorphia is so not talked about enough yet some of the most relatable shit in the world. I bet at least 3x a day you look in the mirror and say something negative without even realizing it! I know I do. I know that if my body doesn’t look how I want it to, my day could be ruined. Such stigmas about only women having body issues but little does everyone know men struggle with their bodies just like we do. It’s just not talked about because no one assumes men care about their bodies in the way women do. But I am sure as hell that men look in the mirrors just like we do and wish to see something different.
We’re always wishing to feel different, look different, and be different. Is that anxiety talking trying to make us fit into the stigmatized box of beauty or is that our soul speaking trying to help us align more profoundly? Is our soul aware that we are living within self-eliminating behaviors and the “anxiety” comes from knowing we can do better?
